The purpose of this essay is to analyse the current training and courses through their comparison with chosen theories and the “Training Instructions for Estonian Defence Forces and Defence League” in order to find out, how the weapon engineers and mine warfare training corresponds to Estonian Navy needs today. Additionally I try to emphasize the lessons learned and analyse how those lessons are (or are not) acknowledged until today. To finish I will draw some conclusions for the future development in this matter.
